Communication

At Wrotham Road  school we appreciate the benefits of open and effective communication with parents.
Home/ School Contact Books:
Contact books are used to encourage a dialogue between teachers and parents. Contact books are used primarily to communicate about reading activities, however they may also be used for individual dialogue between parents and teachers, about specific matters.

Website:
The school website is designed to be informative. It provides parents with information on curriculum matters and school policies, as well as general information that parents may require.
In addition, parents are able to take a tour of the school and see examples of children’s work during open afternoons.
The school website is regularly updated.

Newsletters:
Each year group sends out a Newsletter at the start of each new topic, outlining the learning for the term and suggesting activities that will support that learning at home.
The newsletters may also contain information on extra-curricular activities, visitors and trips planned for that term, as well as requests for particular items to support activities in school.
Texting Service:
The school has a texting service which is used to remind parents about up and coming events and activities.

If you feel you have any ideas for improvements at Wrotham Road, please put your ideas in the suggestion box which is now located in the office reception.
Thank you,
Mrs Green
