Parents Evening

The Parent Consultation Meetings will be held on Tuesday 19th March, 4.30- 7.00pm, and Wednesday 20th March, 4.00-6.00pm. Once again, we will be holding the meetings in the main school hall, rather than the classrooms. A blank timetable for each class will be posted in the canteen from Tuesday 26th February in the afternoon and will remain on display until Monday 4th March

Timetables will be on display for all classes from Year R to Year 6. There will also be a timetable for the Special Educational Needs Department should you wish to arrange a meeting with Mrs Brierley, the school’s Inclusion Manager (only available after 4.30pm Wednesday 20th March).

The blank timetables will only be available after school, 3.15-3:35pm from Tuesday 26th February or before school, 8:45-9am from Wednesday 27th February (until the following Monday 4th March). If, when you go to the canteen, a class is being held, please wait until it has finished and the children have returned to the main building.

We would also appreciate your consideration as After School Club is held in the canteen from 3:30pm onwards. Thank you.

Half Term

Wishing you all a relaxing break. We return to school on Tuesday 26th February.

Mrs Green

Year 5 - Mrs Wanmer

Here are some photos from the Year 5 IPC exit point from yesterday. Bob Chapman was an invited guest who is actually a court judge. They had Nat, Brisi and Harsimran as the prosecution and Ella, Luke and Morgan as the defence. The rest of the children were the jury. They decided to put Mrs Wanmer on trial as the evidence was pointing towards her and the jury found her guilty!!
Bob the judge explained that if it was a real case she would have gone to jail.
Mrs Robson was found guilty in Mr Barlow's class.

Skip2bfit

Today Skip2bfit visited Wrotham Road and provided workshops with a difference. The skipping workshops had specially designed counting skipping ropes to incorporate numeracy whilst promoting fitness and healthy living. The sessions were great fun and the pupils love the challenges.

The winners!

Congratulations!

Well done to our new Eco Warriors and School Councillors this year.

Every class in KS2  has two eco monitor's who are responsible for switching off lights when not in use and keeping the class up to date with eco news.

What is a school council?
A school council is a group of students who are elected to represent the views of all pupils and to improve their school.

Year 5 trip to the church

On the 5th February the Year 5 children went to visit St Georges's Church in Gravesend. During the visit the children had to identify the features of a church including the font, aisle, organ, lectern, pews, altar, pulpit and explain what they are used for.

Rev Stone also told them a story about a small window in the ceiling in the foyer. It is in the floor of the bell room so that the bell ringers can see when a bride arrives for a wedding or a coffin arrives for a funeral.
